ABOUT THE SYSTEM

InterRes is a reservation system, designed for Internet users to be able to see availability, and make reservations over the Internet with any hotels represented on the system.

Does it bother you that third parties earn from your bookings? Simplified Rate Structure

Most booking channels available in today's marketplace are based on a commission fee per reservation or One-Time License and Ongoing-License fee. The Commissionable system will profit from your success by charging a percentage over the revenue generated at your property. The One-Time License and Ongoing License solutions turns the risk of the investment totally to the hotel. InterRes does not charge a commission or License fee, but rather charges a limit transaction fee for the processing of the reservation, regardless the revenue generated by the reservation or the length of stay. InterRes provides the full service, including but not limited to PMS connectivity, for a fixed amount.

While most channels charge a commission based fee on the revenue per reservation or a One Time License and Ongoing License fee on the use of the system, InterRes only charges a limited transaction fee per transaction processed through the system.

Search Facility View Availability and Book Immediately

The user can search for a hotel in many different ways, by location, hotel chain, type of hotel, and by required hotel facilities. The system will locate the hotels matching the search criteria, and allow the user to select the one they want. The user then has the ability view the availability around the required dates, and then book off an availability chart showing room type that are "available" (green status), or "on request" (orange status), and you cannot book of "unavailable" (red status).
The date viewing and selection is by a very easy click and drag action.

Instant Confirmation Who can use this ?

The booking form is validated, so that the required information is completed, and if you booked off an available status, you will get an instant confirmation, if you booked off an "on request" status, your booking is subject to the confirmation coming back from the hotel. Users have to be registered with InterRes to be able to view availability and make reservations - The service is free to users, and users are:

    • Travel Agents,
    • tour operators,
    • companies,
    • central reservation offices within a group of hotels, or
    • hotels within the group
    • long term - the individual Internet browser
What does the hotel need ? How do I get access ?

For a hotel to participate in InterRes, the hotel requires a connection to the Internet, and a Pentium PC running either Windows95 or NT. The hotel accepts to pay InterRes a fee for each room reservation that it receives. There is no charge for cancellations or amendments to bookings.
The type of Internet connection depends on the type of reservation profile that the hotel has. If a hotel has a very volatile inventory with very short lead times, then you need a more frequent access to the Internet, and if a hotel elects to have a leased line connection to the Internet, then the confirmation from the hotel will be within a minute.
Visit the site at http://www.interres.nl, complete the application form, and your on your way to instant hotel reservations.

Automatic Updating What about Special Rates

If a hotel has a Property Management System running in the property, which can be purchased. This interface will pass the availability status from the PMS (Property Management System) to InterRes and the reservations which have been taken in InterRes will be passed to the PMS. The reservation will be placed into the PMS, without being re-entered or re-keyed by anyone. A response from the PMS’s InterRes interface will be passed back to the Internet, with the hotel’s actual reservation number, nightly rate and total stay cost. This response will update the InterRes system, and will email the person who made the reservation.
The hotel’s communication with InterRes happens automatically, on a timed schedule, be it every x number of seconds, x number of minutes or x number of hours. There are also periods where you can block it from communicating.

InterRes has the facility to link reservations to the "special account" that may exist in the hotel’s PMS system. The special account information is extracted from the PMS system, and a copy is located on the InterRes system. The reservation which is associated to the special account, will then pick up the special account’s negotiated rate when the reservation is passed through to the PMS. This special rate at this stage is not seen on the InterRes system, but will be attached to the reservation in the PMS. Any reservation that is not associated with a "special account" with the hotel will carry the RACK rate of the hotel.
Rack rate is set up in the system, for each room type, and it holds rates for future seasons, as well as the single, double, rates plus the child sharing surcharge. Rates can be set up in the currency if your choice.

Who keeps the information up-to-date ? But I already have a Web site...

The hotel’s description, special features, special requests, cancellation and deposit policies, check-in, check-out times, and room release times are all parameters set up when the hotel comes on-line. These can be maintained and modified by the hotel should the need arise. Policies can be set up once for an entire group, or can be set up at the hotel level, or room type level, should there be a different policy for a particular hotel or a particular room type. Policies are set up as a default, and can change for specific dates. The look and feel of the web page for each hotel or hotel chain can be altered to reflect the colors, fonts, and background look and feel of the hotel, or of the hotel’s web site if it already exists. There are hot links to the hotel’s web site, allowing the user the facility of jumping from InterRes to the hotel’s web site, and back. There is also the facility to hop into InterRes from a hotel’s own web site say on a "Reservation" button, which will take you directly into that hotel’s page within InterRes
